Castlewood Vineyard
Castlewood Vineyard emerged from its south-facing Devon hillside between 2006 and 2009. This steady progression enabled key sparkling wine varieties to be trialled and planted. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier represent three quarters of the vineyard, with ‘varietals’ mainly of Germanic origin representing the rest.
Wedding Venue:
Here at Castlewood we pride ourselves in attention to detail, both nurturing our grapevines and vinifying their fruit. Producing quality over quantity and how we celebrate them, that’s what makes our wines so special.
In September 2018 close friends, Saskia and Max celebrated their marriage in our vineyards and surrounding woodland, we were thrilled to be asked to host. Their day was an absolute triumph, and marked the first ever wedding at Castlewood Vineyard.
We are opening our gates for just a handful of days a year. If you would like to celebrate your wedding at Castlewood, please contact us.
Accommodation:
We have two traditional, stone, holiday cottages set in spacious, pretty gardens with glorious views over the fields towards our Vineyards nestling under Musbury Castle (Newhouse and Wonover). To the west, breathtaking views across the valley to the coast at Seaton and the cliffs at Beer (only 10 mins).
