Centuries ago, Warden Abbey was dissolved as a result of the English Reformation.
Now it's being 'reformed' again as a vineyard for the local community.
The community is central to our ethos and we wanted to celebrate Bedfordshire with our wines. We therefore named our Bacchus/Reichensteiner blend as a bow to prison reformer John Howard, who lived in nearby Cardington - thus linking the vineyard's history with its exciting future.
Bacchus and Reichensteiner
“White flowers & a hint of elderflower, the nose has an attractive mix of spring flowers. The start of the palate is fresh & citrusy but it fills out in the middle with a tropical fruit mix and a hint of white peach. The sweetness on the back palate is balanced by lime freshness and the finish has a good length of flavour.” Derek Smedley, Master of Wine.
