News for May at the Vineyard

Pruning at Chartham

We have completed pruning 9000 vines, mulched the prunings and tied down the canes to the fruiting wires. Now we anxiously observe the developing buds, hoping the increasingly warm spring days will not be followed by dramatic dips in temperature and tender green shoots being exposed to overnight frosts.

Nature can be cruel!

Our Cellar Door is open

We are open for sales, and from 22nd May we begin bookable tours and tastings. There has been a surge in bookings with people understandably keen to get out and about as concerns ease and temperatures rise. Until 22nd May you are still very welcome to purchase a bottle to drink in the attractive surroundings of our heritage farmyard. You can check the progress of the vines by visiting our demonstration vineyard close to the farmyard.

Art in the Vineyard Gallery

Entry is free to this Spring/Summer Art Exhibition in our carefully renovated cow barn showcasing paintings, pottery, jewellery and glasswork by 12 accomplished local artists. We hope to see you there - all work on display is for sale.
