Stanlake Park Wine Estate

Settled in 130 acres of peaceful English countryside, Stanlake Park is an impressive historical estate in the Royal County of Berkshire. Built for the first time in 1166, its charming main barn houses one of the oldest and largest wineries in the area, and is able to process 70 tonnes of grapes.

Nico Centonze, Stanlake Park’s skilful Italian winemaker, personally takes care of our 10 acres of vineyards and expertly processes our grapes to produce a wide range of wines, using a modern, international approach.  A wide range includes white, rosé, red and English sparkling wine

Customers are welcome to visit our Wine Bar & Cellar Shop, as well as to enjoy a glass of wine with some nibbles in our charming Wine Bar and Garden.

Wine Tours and Tastings are organised all year round. Explore our vineyard and winery, taste generous samples of different wines along the way, and relax with some cheese & charcuterie boards and an extra glass of wine in our Wine Bar or walled garden after the tour – an unforgettable afternoon!

Wedding Venue:

Set in the grounds of one of England’s finest wine estates, Stanlake Park provides the most picturesque backdrop to your special day. Our impressive and historical estate is spread over 130 acres of beautiful countryside, and it’s one of the most highly-regarded wedding venues in Berkshire.

The grounds are home to an abundance of stunning 16th century buildings and outdoor spaces for your vineyard wedding, including the ceremony, reception, and those all-important photographs.

You can enjoy your wedding breakfast in our beautifully restored vineyard barn, with views extending out over the vines, and toast your loved ones with English sparkling wine produced just metres from where you celebrate the happiest day of your lives.

Catering and all-round event management is provided by award-winning Heritage Venues Ltd, among the top caterers in Berkshire. Visit our website Stanlake Park Weddings for more information.

Accommodation:

Lush scenery, wine tasting, luxury design and no drive home … a staycation among the grapevines has become the UK’s favourite mini-break. Avoid the chaos of the city and stay in our recently refurbished lodges, just minutes on foot from our vineyard and Wine Bar, and very close to other world-renowned attractions such as Windsor Castle, Ascot Racecourse, and Henley Regatta.

With plenty of walks around Berkshire’s lovely countryside, picturesque villages and towns to visit, and an abundance of traditional British pubs and fine dining restaurants nearby, there will be plenty for you to explore during your stay. Our luxurious lodges are just a 15-minute walk from Twyford train station, a stop on the Elizabeth Line. Who needs Provence or Tuscany when we have such beauty just 30 minutes from London?

Among Stanlake Park’s stunning listed buildings, some of them dating back to the 15th Century, there are two impressive cottages, North Lodge and South Lodge, which were recently renovated to offer a luxury vineyard stay experience.

These lodges are currently available for short and long term stays and are operated by the experienced team at Hosting Homes, a family-run overnight stay specialist from Henley-On-Thames.

Tours and Tastings:

Our wine tours are designed to be friendly, informal and fun! No prior knowledge is required as one of our experienced and WSET-trained guides will lead you through the ups and downs of English viticulture and winemaking, accompanied by some generous samples of our very best award-winning wines.

During a Wine Tour & Tasting, you’ll visit one of our vineyards (weather permitting) before being taken through the winery to see all the winemaking process, including the grape-pressing area, the fermentation tanks, the barrel room, the ‘fizz’ room and the bottling line. At each stop, you will taste 6 wines including white, rosé, red and sparkling. Wine availability may change during the year.

If you choose to join one of our Wine & Cheese Tours, the visit will be slightly shorter, but will end with a sit-in tasting of wines together with a selection of delicious English cheese. You will still taste 6 wines in total.  In both cases, the tour will end in our Wine Bar & Cellar Shop where your experience can continue!

In our Wine Bar you can enjoy any of our wines by the glass or bottle, together with some delicious cheese and charcuterie boards. Tired of tasting wine? Not a problem. We stock a large number of local craft beer, cider and cocktails, as well as many non-alcoholic options, including mocktails, hot drinks and cream teas.

If the weather is good you can sit outside in our lovely garden surrounded by roses and overlooking the winery. Otherwise, you’re welcome to sit inside at one of our refurbished oak barrel tables.

Our tours last for approximately 1.5-2 hours – you may wish to book a taxi home! If you are organising a lift or booking a taxi, we recommend you ask them to give you plenty of time so that you are not rushed at the end of the tour.
