Strap in for two hours of high-octane chaos, wall-to-wall music and the world’s most implausible car chases – all to save an orphanage from a tax bill.

Following last year’s hugely popular screening, we are once again hosting The Purbeck Film Festival on August 15th, as part of their summer series of film screenings. Their outdoor cinema will be set up in the vines for a truly unique cinema experience, this time showing The Blues Brothers.

It’s dark, they’re wearing sunglasses, and they’re on A Mission From God. Jive along with Jake and Elwood one more time in this cult classic from 1980. Riotous entertainment from start to finish, the film combines gritty Chicago locations, car chase carnage and music from some of the all time greats of Blues (including Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles) as the brothers get the band back together to save their old orphanage. A real treat that is rarely shown on the big screen, where the slinky, groovy soundtrack comes alive.

Access to the restaurant and bar starts at 6.00 pm to allow you plenty of time to enjoy delicious food from Smiths Kitchen and of course Langham sparkling wine.

Gates to the film screening area will open from 7:30 pm.

Film starts 8.55pm (depending on light levels).

Wood fired pizzas will be available on the evening from SMITHS KITCHEN.  A bar will be open throughout so you can purchase the multi award-winning Langham wine directly from the vineyard.
