Ridgeview Wine Estate

In 1994 we planted our original site at the foot of the South Downs in Sussex. With advice from Epernay we selected 13 French clones of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier on three different rootstocks. This way we can emulate “l’assemblage” of the Champagne Houses that combine together the vintages of small vineyards, thereby creating imaginative blends.

Description:

A short film created by the talented Dave & Nell Thomas from Picnic films. Picnic contacted Ridgeview for a film project and spent various days with us across a year so he could follow the processes of grape to glass for a season. Here is an short version of the film for you to enjoy.

The full length version, which runs for around 10 minutes can be seen in our tasting room. Picnic were a delight to work with and made everyone feel very relaxed. They have captured perfectly the spirit and essence of what makes Ridgeview so special. We hope you like it as much as we do.

We welcome visitors to our beautiful vineyard and winery which is nestled at the foot of the South Downs in the village of Ditchling. We are in an ideal location set within the picturesque South Downs national park and close to the bustling city of Brighton & Hove.
