The Great British Vineyards Guide

Set in the grounds and overlooked by the magnificent stature of the house, ‘The Walled Garden’ is Carlton Towers’ very own vineyard, born from Lord and Lady Gerald’s passion for wine and dedicated to Lord Gerald’s father Miles, 17th Duke of Norfolk.

Reminiscent of the classic English novel “The Secret Garden”, step through the powder-blue gate into the beautiful enclosure teeming with vines, growing two cool climate grape varieties; Auxerrois Colmar and Pinot Noir, which we plan to blend together to make a sparkling white wine. The vines were tenderly planted by Lord Gerald, Lady Emma.
