Glyndwr Vineyard is the oldest and largest established vineyard in Wales. The current owners pioneered the revival of viticulture in Wales, establishing Glyndwr Vineyard in 1979, making it the oldest family estate in Wales.
With the experience of 35 years playing an important role in the current success and reputation of the vineyard, the owners have built up an extensive network of outlets throughout Wales including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, the Celtic Manor Resort, Glen-yr-Afon Hotel, and numerous family run delis from St David’s in Pembrokeshire to Wally’s in Cardiff.
Now, two generations are working together blending the vineyard’s heritage with innovation. We are passionate about our home and our surroundings and the important bond between nature and the wine we produce.
The adjoining lovely gardens have been open to the National Garden Scheme and there are ponds, woodland areas and orchards containing a number of old British apple trees, which make Glyndwr’s own unique and delicious cider.
We are proud to be Wales’ oldest and largest vineyard and we specialise in hosting magical, individual and tailor-made weddings.
If you are frustrated with “conveyor belt” wedding venues and looking to make your special day unique, without it costing the earth, please consider us.
Surrounded by lawns, orchards and a 6-acre vineyard, the accommodation has free parking on site, as well as some friendly llamas.
The accommodation is in a private location away from the main house, with en-suite facilities and complementary toiletries.
During the warmer months, breakfast can be enjoyed at guests' convenience on the room's sunny veranda or on the spacious lawn with adjoining orchards. To make the guests stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, the rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, oven, and kitchenware.
