Quantock Vineyards & Orchards
The Counting House is a traditional country house dating from the mid 1700s and was formerly the offices of the local Dodington copper mines.
Today it houses a small formerly commercial vineyard and winery, producing refreshing wines from its own grapes, as well as a range of unique Somerset apple wines.
Fine English grape wines made from several varieties grown in our own vineyard - and striking apple wines made from traditional Somerset apples. The results are a unique range of new and surprising tastes.
Names of grapes as richly diverse as Madeleine Angevine, Siegerrebe, Kernling, Auxerrois and Seyval; apples redolent of ancient traditions, such as Porters Perfection, Tom Putt, Sweet Coppin, Stoke Red - all evocative of long-standing West Country traditions of quality food and drink.
