Sandyford Vineyard

The 2 acres that make up the Sandyford winery are part of a 400 acre family farm in Great Sampford, North West Essex. The vineyard was planted in 1999 on a sheltered southwest facing slope by farmers Sue and Mike Lindsell with the help of family and friends. For the 2000 vines Sue and Mike chose all Germanic varieties which are well suited to East Anglia's climate, which enjoys long hours of sunshine and a low rainfall.
