St. Martin's Vineyard

St Martins Vineyard, the most south-westerly vineyard in England.

Val and Graham Thomas began the project in 1996 as a holiday hobby.

Trial plantings of the grape varieties Reichensteiner and Madeleine Angevine were begun in 1996 on the gently sloping, southerly facing slopes of the small holding traditionally farmed for narcissi and daffodils by Val's father.

Accommodation:

We have a traditional Granite Cottage and a Cedarwood Chalet for self-catering holidays

Both sleep 4 in twin and double bed rooms. The cottage provides more spacious accommodation. Both enjoy the use of large secluded gardens.

We have tried to balance a cosy cottage style ambience, as in the lounge, with a modern practical approach, as in the large kitchen/diner - which we hope will suit the discerning visitor. Comfort, cleanliness and a warm welcome are our top priorities.

The cottage and the chalet have stunning views to the South overlooking Highertown Bay to the uninhabited Eastern Isles, and are just 2 minutes from the nearest beaches.

Both properties have been recently refurbished and the cottage has a 4 star rating. For enquires about availability contact Val via email valandgraham@hotmail.co.uk
