Velfrey Cuvée Reserve 2019 

 

Welsh vintage sparkling wine.
 

The Summer of 2019 offered a long, slow ripening period which allowed the fruit to develop beautiful depth of flavour with a refreshing acidity. Notes of orange peel and wild strawberry complement the buttery, brioche characters of the long lees ageing period of traditional method sparkling wine.
 

An outstanding vintage from a plentiful Pinot Noir crop blended with youthful Seyval Blanc that offered a perfect balance of acidity and sugar levels needed to create a premium, traditional method, sparkling wine.

 

A combination of 24 months lees ageing, before being disgorged In February 2022 and 3 months bottle ageing elevate the wine to exceptional levels.
