THE LONG DAYS OF SUMMER
As the South Downs bask in long days of sunshine, the vineyard is flourishing.
Whilst many vineyards faced challenging spring frosts this year, The Weyborne Estate's unique microclimate and altitude protected our vines. Although the strong spring winds claimed a small portion of this year's crop, the vines are thriving, with tiny bunches of grapes now visible as they begin their journey towards harvest.
With warm days, cool nights and a glorious summer heatwave settling over the vineyard, all the signs are pointing towards another exceptional vintage.
A VISIT FROM CLARIDGE'S
It was our pleasure to welcome the Head of Wine and Sommelier team from Claridge's to The Weyborne Estate.
Together we walked through the vineyard, explored our unique terroir and shared the story behind every bottle. Days like these are a wonderful reminder of the relationships that exist between vineyard and table, and the people who bring English sparkling wine to life.
