ESTATE RED
Rondo is a dark-skinned hybrid variety grape that flourishes in northern European climates. First bred in the former Czechoslovakia in 1964, Rondo was later developed and cultivated in Germany. Ripening is reliable and the grape is highly resistant to diseases. Rondo produces good-quality, full-bodied, deep red wines which is why we have had great success producing our award-winning Estate Red at Wythall Estate.
Our Estate Red has a soft garnet colour. On the nose, plums and a hint of cinnamon. In the mouth, fresh red cherries, plums, and a hint of violets; a touch of fine-grained tannin to give the wine shape; medium to light weight. Delightful liquorice finish.
