Deep crimson red in colour, with aromas of cassis and red plum on the nose.  The palate is medium bodied, with a soft, silky texture and a subtle hint of spice from the oak, which leads to a long, moreish finish.  The wine has been gently aged in French oak barrels for 8 months, to add more depth and complexity.
