Warden Abbey Brut 2019
2019 turned out to be a bumper year for us, second only to 2013 in terms of overall yield since we took on the vineyard in 2010.
Each grape variety was whole bunch pressed and vinified separately. Our sparkling is made using the traditional, bottle-fermented method, and this wine had 20 months maturing on the lees.
The start of the palate is bright with a mix of citrus fruits. A pear and tropical fruit influence gives a sweet feel to the mid palate, nice depth of flavour with lime and apple at the back refreshing the long finish. Gentle, fine bubbles.
Awarded a Bronze medal in the 2024 Decanter wine awards.
