A gloriously bright, deep ruby red with violet hints, it's effortlessly fragrant and enticing. Aromas of spiced berries leap from the glass - black cherry, bramble, even a hint of damson, backed by notes of ground coffee, french vanilla and exotic spices. On the palate it's medium bodied with plenty of black cherry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry gaining more complexity on the mid-palate with charcuterie and grilled meat and a touch of star anise on the finish. Delicious and versatile. Would partner beautifully with a wide range of red meats, roast pork or poultry, but would be especially delicious with grilled lamb rack. Enjoy.
