Brut Rosé | PRODUCT of ENGLAND
Grapes were hand-harvested in the cool of the morning. The bunches were hand-sorted and whole-bunch-pressed.
Only free-run juice fermented in stainless steel was used in the final blend to create its delicate taste and originality.
Full malolactic fermentation was done on the base wine to soften the 2021’s natural acidity, adding a creamy texture and depth.
The final blend was bottled and it then underwent according to the traditional method second fermentation in the bottle.
This is followed by bottle maturation of approximately 30 months, and only then was it disgorged, corked and labelled.

Awards & Reviews:
“Pale pink in colour, this has bold, bright flavours of cherry, pear and citrus. It’s fruit driven
with keen acidity as well as a touch of sweetness. Bright, lively and energetic
with nice intensity to the fruit. Finishes nicely tart.” 90/100
JAMIE GOODE, THE WINE ANORAK, 31.07.24
“But if I’m buying, the Brut Rosé gets my vote for all-round delight for the price.
Blended from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and… wait for it… Pinotage, the
pale peachy rose colour alone is gorgeous and the wine's aromas of strawberry, rose,
cherry and brioche lure towards the taste. Rich, bright, and again that sword of salinity
that sets these wines apart with a perfectly pitched dosage leading to an electrifying
finish: think redcurrants jumping for joy. Long lasting flavours, a feeling of soft
freshness lingering and a little texture that makes it spot on for sipping with nibbles in
the sun.”
OLLY SMITH, HOT BOTTLE NEWS, 12.07.24
“Lovely concentrated strawberry and raspberry notes. Super delicious, really
promising start for this new estate”
JOHN MOBBS, GREAT BRITISH WINE, 20.06.24
“This opens-up beautifully with layers of wild strawberry and
grapefruit. It's soft and elegant but with the addition of 10%
Pinotage to the blend, has a certain edge.”
REBECCA PITCAIRN, ENGLISH WINE DIARIES, 12.06.24
“Elegance, finesse and purity in this delightful Rosé,
completing a remarkable hat-trick on debut for Leonardslee
and Johann Fourie.”
GEOFFREY DEAN, THE BUYER, 07.06.24
“The stand-out. This wine is gorgeous, on the nose, on the
palate, keeping that English acidity but the dosage adds
weight and complexity”
BRAD HORNE, WINETIME LONDON, 31.05.24
