Made from the Regent, Rondo and Triomphe D’Alsace grapes this has a rich, dark, black cherry colour with aromas of blackberries and gentle, smoky oak. The style is Southern French but with a lower alcohol and light tannins on the finish as English, vineyards do not get the heat and sun to create the ripeness, sugars and heavy tannins that one would expect from a wine with this depth of colour.
